The Beacon Converters/ConforMIS Drill and Pin Kit Wallet is awarded the 2011 Flexible Packaging Association’s Highest Achievement Award, the Gold Award for Packaging Excellence and the Silver Award for Environmental and Sustainability Achievement.

Education

Alison Tyler, Beacon’s Technical Director and adjunct faculty member RIT, has challenged her Medical Products Packaging class again this year to invent a medical device that meets the requirements of ISO 11607.

They had to name the device, describe its function, create drawings of it and eventually make a prototype. The project required innovative thinking: inventing a company, supply chain and transportation network – identifying hazards and special requirements and addressing them all in packaging design.

This year, pending student authorization, Beacon will share the best of three final class projects on our website beginning in June.
