Header bags are commonly used for packaging and sterilizing bulky
devices or as a second barrier layer for trays. Beacon header bags
are custom made of a polymer film with the required degree of
toughness, and a coated Dupont™ Tyvek® header strip for
breathability. The films include coextrusions designed for strength
and clarity, as well as cost-effective light gauge polyethylene for
less demanding applications. Custom sizes from 2 to 99 inches wide,
and in lengths from 3 to 34 inches are available. |

Custom die cut insert cards are a cost-effective alternative to ridged tray packaging. Formed from medical grade plastic, custom die cut insert cards can hold one to many medical devices securely in place, helping to protect your sterile barrier system (SBS) from the devices within. “The lack of adequate protection of the package from the device is the number one reason for SBS failures and the resultant loss of sterility.” AAMI Webinar: ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11607 New Global Standard for Sterile Medical Device Packaging, May 2007.
